Explore Exceptional Educational Opportunities

At Heritage we are committed to academic excellence and personal growth. Our mission is to challenge and inspire students—and their families—to reach their highest potential through a rigorous curriculum, strong values, and a supportive community dedicated to lifelong learning. Grounded in faith and guided by purpose, we prepare students not just for school, but for life.

Rigor.

At Heritage, academic excellence is the foundation of everything we do. Our curriculum is intentionally rigorous, designed to challenge students to think critically, communicate clearly, and pursue mastery across all subject areas. Students engage with high-quality content, meaningful assignments, and structured instruction that builds strong academic skills and intellectual confidence.

Through consistent expectations, purposeful assessment, and a commitment to growth, students are equipped to excel academically while developing discipline, responsibility, and perseverance. Grounded in faith and guided by purpose, Heritage prepares students not only to succeed in the classroom, but to thrive in future academic pursuits and in life.

Curriculum

Our classrooms utilize the Abeka curriculum to provide a strong, structured academic foundation rooted in excellence. With clear instruction, mastery-based learning, and a comprehensive scope and sequence, students develop essential skills in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and history while building confidence and academic discipline.

Postsecondary

Postsecondary readiness is a key part of the Heritage high school experience. Through dual credit opportunities with Marshall University’s Herd Academy and Southern WV Community & Technical College’s Early College Academy, students can earn college credit while still in high school, strengthening academic preparation and providing a confident transition into college and future careers.

STEM Content

STEM learning is integrated throughout Heritage classrooms to promote critical thinking, creativity, and real-world problem solving. Through hands-on, cross-curricular experiences, students apply science, technology, engineering, and mathematics concepts while developing the skills needed for future success.
